Syncing with atomic clock is very easy with XP machine. Double click on the time on right bottom corner.Go to internet time. and check the check box “automatically sync with time server”. Presently it shows only Microsoft clock. You can add multiple clocks by editing the registry. Read this tutorial for more information.

Working across time zones is pretty confusing when your scheduling meetings. You may want to check both the clocks to see if it is OK. If both the time lines are displayed on your outlook calendar then it is little easy to do it. Outlook by default displays only one timezone. To enable multiple timezones
Go to Tools – Options

Select Calendar Options and click on time zone button

Check the check box Show Additional timezone. Give a new Label and select the time zone. Here my secondary timezone is Chicago. And then click OK.

Now your outlook calendar shows both the timezones

Scott thinks it works good for America. [Just in case you don't know. Scott is 'Dilbert' Scott]

That’s why we need to outsource the important decisions to India. I’m sure a consulting firm in India could help the United States come up with a coherent energy policy, a plan for universal health care, a cure for global warming, and an anti-terrorism plan.

Its pretty difficult to make out if he is joking or serious but its worth a read.

One of the most difficult job for the offshore worker is to keep track of timezone. If you are working with teams across multiple time zones then suggesting the best time for all your team is pretty difficult task. In my case I always forget the time differences between the countries. Running multiple clocks on your machine could be an answer to it. Now running multiple clocks on the status bar of your browser is much better. Download the Fox Clocks a firefox addon which enables your browser with this capability.

FoxClocks lets you keep an eye on the time around the world – or just your local time – by putting small clocks in your statusbar. Choose from a set of useful time formats or create your own – custom formats are easy to create and very flexible.

I hope you are using Firefox. If you are not then download it at spreadfiefox.com.If you are interested in Google toolbar too, then try the link on the right bar to download.
