I have been trying their service since the alpha stage. And it looks very promising.Presently it gives you answers related events, movies resturants in Bangalore , Delhi and other cities.

Zook also has social networking touch to it. You add friends to your profile. You can create groups for your friends. You can send msgs to your friends through the wap enabled site. I created a group called 'EventsBangalore' just to try it out. Presently it allows the group owner to add unlimited members to his groups. Groups are more of private groups.Two more special links called 'TELL'and 'ASK' where you can your friends suggestions or give your friends suggestions.

Their home page has a links Restaurants,Movies,Events,Businesses,Ringtones.Friends, The events are picked up from Seraja mobile.And they are neatly classified by city and date.They have a pretty neat listing of movies,restaurants and business establishments giving the details like timings, phone numbers, address etc.

Zook is available as a WAP service.If you use OperaMini like me. It works very fast and looks very cool . Zook is also available on SMS at 3030 One of the interaction is below

Some shortcomings:

  • No profile feature. I would like something like that. For example I cant edit my name.
  • No WAP password reset/recovery; you have to use SMS way.
  • I can not delete my groups. Or remove somebody from the group.
  • No facility for public groups

Even then the service is very useful when you are on the move and you want some information. I am going to use it.The service is provided by Bangalore based startup called Ziva Software.
