This is going to be long

yamaha
I am not sure how tough this one is going to be; but I am sure its going to be long. Approximately 1700 KMs. I am so charged up that I am not getting sleep. Probably I wont until we complete this journey. My last long ride was to Pondicherry two years back. That was unplanned ride. But we had loads of fun.

I am sure this one will be much more fun than that. Probably last long ride for few as most of them will be married by this time next year. The ride to Kanyakumari is not going to be easy. But who wants to do easy things? It might probably rain; but thanks to Andy/MK/Boda we have now rain jackets. Good to see whole group in so much of enthu. We have jackets, gloves, Knee Caps due to heavy duty shopping yeaterday. And I have my new tripod for Andy handy cam. This one is going to be there on DVDs for long long time.

This ride is so important because after a long time all of us MK, Boda, Andy, Manoj and Mathang got a chance to go out. Its such a rare occasion that all of us got leaves and mind to go together. Not sure how many times we may get such chances in future.

Count down has started. I am just waiting for this staurday(11-Aug-2007) morning. There is small change in the route. Now we will not be going to Rameshwaram. The route would be

  • Day1 :Bangalore-Salem-Madhurai
  • Day2: Madhurai- Kanyakumari
  • Day 3,4,5 :The return route is planned but not concrete. Lets see how it goes.

Will probably twitter at every break. Not sure about blogging. I will try as far as possible.
Update: Back from service station
Service That my bike at the service center. Now looks like a new bride. The bike in header is the same bike.

This story is a part of my ride from Bangalore to Kanyakumari called MissionKK.To read all the related stories use the link. MissionKK

Did this last christmas. The onward route is not very scenic, and KK is very dirty. But if you can, come back through the coast, via kerala, its out of this world…

I’m sure the temple in Madurai is on your agenda. Please make sure the Thirumalai Nayak Mahal is on it too :)) And, Madurai also has a very good flower market. Have a great trip.

the route you have chosen is not that scenic, boring to be precise.

unless u like Long highways amidst trucks competing against each other at 30km/h.

I suggest you to consider this route which I did in Jan this year.
