Austin 7 – Beauty Captured on my k750i

What do you do when you are waiting for friends to arrive at a coffee shop. I usually look around (!) or browse on mobile. But this time I went on a walk with a friend discussing my year end trip.

Then saw this beauty covered in front of somebody’s house. I was little scared to open initially. But later managed to open the cover as I didn't see any signs of human beings and captured few pictures before anybody roughen me up.

This is an austin 7 produced in UK between 1922 and 1939 registrated at Mysore state ( later became Karnataka).

It was one of the most popular cars ever produced there and wiped out most other British small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s, its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the USA. It was also licensed and copied by companies all over the world. The first BMW models (BMW Dixi) were licensed Austin 7s, as were the original American Austins. In France they were made and sold as Rosengarts while in Japan Nissan also used the 7 design as the basis for their original cars, though not under license
