I like 8x8 grids with at least 64 boxes, but it works with any size. A perfect game to play on a plane.

What You Need
- A sheet of paper with a 8x8 grid of dots.
- Two players.
- Two pens of different colors (optional).
Setup
- Draw the Grid: Create a grid of dots, 8 dots wide and 8 dots tall. The dots should be evenly spaced.
- Goal: The objective is to complete squares by connecting dots and to claim as many squares as possible.
Rules
- Players Take Turns: Each player draws one horizontal or vertical line between two adjacent dots.
- Square Completion:
- If a player completes the fourth side of a box, they "own" that box.
- Write the player's initials or mark the box with their pen color.
- The player gets another turn if they complete a square.
- Continue Until Grid Is Filled: Play continues until no more lines can be drawn.
Scoring
- Each player counts the squares they’ve claimed.
- The player with the most squares wins.
Strategies
- Avoid Giving the Opponent a Chain: Try not to place the third side of a box, as this sets up your opponent to complete it.
- Plan Ahead: Look for sequences where claiming one box might lead to others.
- Force Opponent into Traps: Create opportunities where your opponent is forced to set you up for multiple squares.
