Freedom Struggle is a Continuous Process

August 15th is one of those days for which we would wait. It's a happy day when we get to hear the stories of revolutionaries. Sing and dance to celebrate it. It's also the day that would make me think, what would I do if I was there, then. i.e amongst the rest of the freedom fighters. My kid brain used to be blown away by imagining stuff. By the end of the day I would be sad and jealous. We didn't get a chance to take part. This is how most of my August 15th's ended in my school days.

It's only much later I realised that freedom1 struggle is a continuous process. It's also the time that I realised participating in such a struggle is not a child's play.

My fellow countrymen have fought corruption, communal forces, caste system, abusive leaders etc. They continue to do so even today, 25,932 days since 15th August 1947. Everyday I see common wo/man struggling to survive and grow, fighting these. This is freedom struggle in process for me, Aug 15, 1947 was the day we started on this path.

Happy Independence day 🇮🇳.
