ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದಸರಾ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು, ಭಾರತದ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯವಾದ ನಂತರ ನಾಡ ಹಬ್ಬ ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ (GoK) ಜನರ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಹಣದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಹಳೆಯ ಅರಸರ ಅಥವ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಲ್ಲ. ವಾಸ್ತವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಳೆಯ ಅರಸರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಖಾಸಗಿ ದರ್ಬಾರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ.
