ಮುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲೂರು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವು ಹೆಬ್ಬಗೋಡಿಗೆ ಬಂದೆವು. ಅಪ್ಪ, ಅಮ್ಮ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಆನೇಕಲ್ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಕೆಲಸ. ಮುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲೂರು ಬಿಡುವಾಗಲೆ ಅಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಆನೇಕಲ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರವಾದರೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಎನ್ನುವ ಯೋಚನೆ. ಅದರೆ ಅಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಶಾಲೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವಳ ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅನುಭವದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯೋ ಏನೋ, ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟ್ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪಾರ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ಅಮ್ಮ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಸ್.ಎಫ್.ಎಸ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿದಳು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಹಾಗು ತಂಗಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ತರಗತಿ. ಮೊದಲ...
