ನಮ್ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲಿಂದಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ದಿನ ಹಾಗು ವಾರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಓದುವ ಹವ್ಯಾಸ ಇತ್ತು. ಸುಧಾ, ತರಂಗ, ಲಂಕೇಶ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಾರಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ಜೋತೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರಭ, ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೂ, ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ, ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮುಂತಾದವು. ಸಮಯ ಬದಲಾದಂತೆ, ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯು ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ವಿಜಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಬಂತು. ಈಗ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಜಯವಾಣಿ ಓಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಮನೇಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ಮದುವೆ ನಂತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ತರಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿತ್ತು....
