AWA 2: Angkor Wat and other temples

We spent most of the day today walking and watching temples. We didn't plan to cover everything since I have two folks in their seventies. We must have still walked at least seven to eight kilometers. We explored the Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm Temple complexes. We started at 5 AM, thinking we would see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, but there were lots of clouds, so we didn't get to see the sunrise; it meant we got an early start and finished early before it got scorching. I recommend starting at 5 AM and buying the ticket online.

Otherwise, there is lots of information about the temples, guides, or self-guided tours. I have nothing special to say. I would like to return at some point in life and spend a week just going through the same temples again, maybe spending a day at each temple.

The gallery of pictures taken using a mobile phone from today's visit is here. You need a real camera to capture the beauty.
