Weekly Notes 46/2024

Uma started play-school to spend time with other toddlers. She loves it. It was supposed to begin with one hour and gradually increase to three, but she's already spending over two hours. Even on day one, She didn't cry or make a face. She was happy to walk in and spend time with her fellow playmates. She's even had a farm visit with her group in the first week, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I did accompany her as it was her day two.

  • I am back in Bangalore. Even Saturday's return flight was delayed by an hour. It's the last week of Vistara before it became AI. I will miss them. It's probably the second-best airline I have traveled in, Kingfisher being the best. I spent Saturday noon, having lunch at Wasabi at Taj Mahal Palace with friends. It's one of the best Japanese meals I have had. Their Aona Goma Ae (Spinach sesame sauce) was yummy. Saturday night was dinner at Taiki with Bengaluru close friends, to celebrate Anjus birthday.
  • We all know life is short and unpredictable. But every time there is a death, it comes as a shocker. RIP Tejas. We all will miss you.
  • Echo has been sick this week as well. This is the longest he's been ill. I see some progress, but I think it'll take another two weeks for a full recovery.
  • I met some college friends this week at Pangeo inside Rex Walk. The conversations were fun as always, reminiscing about movies we once watched at Rex. The food was good, and I enjoyed their open-sky bar, which can close when it's too sunny or rainy.
  • I am exploring Wagtail for CMS requirements. Wagtail is built on top of Django and is not a point-and-click CMS tool. Configuration or design is done through code that can be committed to VCS, which, as a developer, I like. I have used Django before, but not with Wagtail. Using it again after so many years will be fun.
