RIP Tejas AP

I probably met Tejas at one of the DataMeets, likely introduced by Nisha. I’d heard about him before, as some DataMeeters had mistaken me for him. We joked about it when we finally met. That’s all I remember about our first meeting.

Tejas at ODCBLR2014 at Google Campus with his fake angry face.

I have met him many times for various reasons. But there are some I remember—like one just after COVID on Hutchins Road. I was there for something else and decided to grab coffee at a small café, where I ran into him. We talked a lot about COVID-19 and how it affected us all.

I remember our last meeting at The Milton St. Cafe. It was during one of those weekend walks with Uma. We stopped by, as usual, for some coffee. Tejas was there with P and was thrilled to see Uma. We chatted about random things and made plans to visit home and meet Uma again. Then we hugged and parted ways.

Who knew that would be our last meeting? Last week, When I heard the news that he was gone. All I could think of were his hugs and bright smiles.

We all miss you, Tejas. I will miss you. Lots of love and rest in peace.
