Weekly Notes 52/2025
It’s been a good but hectic week. Lots of work coming together, so it’s a lot of coordination, talking, and generally being busy. My painting project #30DaysOfWatercoloring is two weeks old now. It’s been going well. I am learning a lot. I am also happy that I have been able to keep it up, even though the days have been busy. I have the gallery of this weeks paintings at the bottom of this post.

This is also the last weekly Notes of 2025. It’s been a good year for weekly notes. I have been able to write all 52 and on time. From next year, I might add weekly music playlists and more photos whenever possible. Thanks for reading these and keeping in touch.
- I published two blog posts this week. Both of them were partly written before. I polished and published them this week. The first one is about Dask and running a distributed cluster. It was in draft state for some time. I polished it, cleaned up the example code, and published it. The second post is about my new riding jacket, which I love.
- We are in Thrissur. I couldn’t go to PT, but did one online session. There are no cultfit gyms here. So no gym sessions. Also, I couldn’t find a sport I could play. There were a few badminton and football games on Playo. I am avoiding putting pressure on my shoulder, so no badminton. I love football, but I don’t know how good (bad mostly) I am. So I didn’t dare to go out and play with strangers in Kerala. I will first watch them play, assess, and then give it a try. But I did walk three days with Anju this week, since the mornings were cooler and it was fun. We walked about 7 km each time.
- While on that walk, I found some postboxes for the project and for OSM.
- Our drive to Thrissur was nothing special. We left a little later than usual because of the fog. We did face quite a bit of traffic due to this, but the overall drive was good.
- I finally took the time to update my profile page on the Wikimedia meta. I have been on Wikipedia and related projects for 16 years now. Until now, I just had a couple of lines. Now I have made it a full-page profile, similar to the about page here on this blog. In fact, it’s just a copy. I still have to update individual project profile pages to link to this page on meta. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:ThejeshGN I also updated my username to my full name in proper case.
- Somewhere in SF, a microphone is listening and sending it to Shazam, and the songs it recognizes are published on Bob Spotter; what a fun project.
