St. Thomas Church, Palayur

I had three hours of free time today. And Palyur has been on my list for a long time. So today I visited.

It was established in 52 AD by St Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. Its also called the birthplace of Christianity in India. It has been modified many times since then. But the main church is very pretty and beautiful. I love the big wooden beams and the huge fan. The architecture resembles a mix of traditional Kerala Hindu temples and Persian churches.

I couldn't visit the museum as it was closed. Maybe another time.
