Weekly Notes 35/2024

It was a busy week at work; a significant feature we have been working on for the last six weeks went live mid-week. I am happy about my team's work and the result.

  • Lots of personal things got done during the weekend, including HSR-related work. On Sunday, we went out for lunch with friends. It was fun.
  • I use ZimWiki for personal notes. Notes are stored and shared across the computers using git. I used to commit and push to the central server manually. I would forget to do it on many days. Now, I have a cronjob on my computers to commit and push every 15 minutes. And it works very well.
  • Yamaha is ready. I am going to pick it up from the workshop tomorrow. unfortunately, we are away for a month. I have to wait until I return for a proper ride. It may be a birthday ride :)
  • All of us have recovered and are doing well.
  • I don't know many English rhymes, primarily because I didn't attend an English medium nursery (I do know GP Rajaratnam's Kannada rhymes). I found The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes by Walter Jerrold and Charles Robinson on Project Gutenberg. I love simple illustrations; check out the PDF version. Now, I am looking for a hard copy of the book.
