Weekly Notes 32/2025
I spent most of the week (Monday through Thursday) in Mumbai. It was a busy but fruitful week. I got lots of things done. I usually carry everything in a backpack if it’s for a couple of days. But this time I had more, so I checked it in the luggage. I forgot about my luggage and walked out in both Mumbai and Bengaluru. In Mumbai, I had to ask the taxi to take me back; thankfully, in Bangalore, I realized just before getting into the Bus. Both the help desk women were kind and understanding.

- I think Mumbai traffic is as bad as Bangalore traffic, if not worse.
- It rained both in Bengaluru and a bit in Mumbai too, this week. Is this the end of the Monsoon rains?
- No physiotherapy this week, did some exercises. I think my Physiotherapy is mostly about workouts now. So I will tag accordingly.
- I enjoy meeting people over coffee, especially if they are interested in having a conversation. I added a page about it, making it easy to share details when someone asks me about it.
- I watched Su From So with friends at Mukunda Theater. It was houseful on a Sunday morning. It’s a fun, family entertainer. I saw so many kids enjoying by laughing out loud in the theater.
- I have been exploring the use of LLMs and agents for querying and reporting. It turns out I can achieve what I had planned. I also found some good products during this exploration. I wrote an intro post about it.
- If you live/work in Bengaluru. Please help me with this one question survey. Please share it as well. Of course I will release the data under open license once its done.
- I did a DEXA scan for fun. It’s not bad at all. I need to do some weights.
- Added a new blog Earthly Notes by Adithi Muralidhar, to my subscription. It’s mostly about nature, birds, etc.
- Book banning is the highlight of fascism. It seems to be happening now in the two biggest democracies in the world.
- I found this Tumblr post via Masatdon and found it very useful. I have quoted it from there.
I really do think an important component of activism is to make sure your motivation is based on a desire to help/improve things for the people being harmed by a system, and not hatred for the ones doing the harm. both for mental health reasons, and because either way you’re training your neural pathways and it’s gonna turn out a lot better for literally everyone if the question on everyone’s mind after achieving a goal is “how/which people can we help next, what’s the next step for improving things” and not “who do we need to attack next.”
I’m not saying don’t be angry, there are a lot of good reasons to be angry right now and it makes for an excellent kick in the pants, just don’t define yourself by it or it’s gonna poison you and potentially do collateral damage.
