RTWA 4: Allahabad and Visit to Sangam

Drive to Allahabad was not easy, specially the last 60 KMS. It was a double lane road without divider and almost every one was driving in high beams. City is even worse, I couldn't see anyone stopping at traffic signal, care about walkers or side no which they drive. Our hotel which I booked yesterday was in the middle of a market near railway station, that made it worse.

This morning we woke up a little late and had breakfast at India Coffee House. Both my partners wanted South Indian Breakfast and that's the best we have in Allahabad. Actually its pretty good.

Then we went to Sangam. We went to the other side of the city to Arail Ghat. It was the best decision as the traffic on the city side was terrible. There were not many people on Arail Ghat. It was easy to hire a whole boat for just us.

The boat took us around and then to Sangam. At the location there are hundreds of boats lined up make a platform. One could see lot of people performing rituals on the platform. One could also see lot of people taking bath. All of us refused to take bath as the water was dirty.

After returning from Sangam, we couldn't do much. Both Anand Bhawan and Allahabad museum have monday as holiday. So walked a bit in the park and then took rest.

The hotel even though promised parking online didn't have their own parking. All we could do was street parking. During the day I couldn't park in the street so I had park in the railway station which was a kilo meter away. Only in the night we got to park just outside the hotel. I should remember not to trust the online details.
