Dubare Elephant Camp with Jungle Lodges

We went out with my team to Dubare this last weekend. Dubare is near Kushalanagar in Coorg, about five hours from Bengaluru. Dubare is known for Elephant Camp. It's a rescue and training camp for elephants. There isn't anyone who doesn't like elephants, hence the choice.

We also decided to stay at the Jungle Lodges at Dubare, it make spending time together and seeing and meeting elephants easy. Jungle Lodges at Dubare is set up amongst nature, next to the river. You have to catch a small boat to reach the lodges. So it's an ideal space to spend time with a team or family. I highly recommend it.

Rooms or cottages are next to the river. So you have a beautiful view from your room and the balcony.

Jungle Lodges feeds you three times daily and serves coffee/tea. They also take you on evening safari and morning nature walks. You need to be there, that's all. We found some elephants, deer, Malabar squirrels, and tiger pug marks on our safari. The drive in the Jungle itself was refreshing.

We also met domesticated elephants while they were bathing. If you like, you can touch and wash some.

We did include a small visit to Bylakuppe on our way to Dubare. Due to shortage of time we couldn't go to Ranganatittu bird sanctuary on our way back. May be next time. Overall, it was a fun weekend with the team. I already miss my team.
