Weekly Notes 05/2026
I attended the Reclaim Constitution Quiz at the Sabha on Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiz, conversation, and the meal post the quiz. You can see the highlights of the quiz here. I also made a special appearance answering an audience question. #ReclaimConstitution is a non-commercial initiative to further constitutional literacy. I love their work. Also, they were one of the NMG/2025 grantees.

- I am back to PT twice a week, with more weight-based exercises added this year. I have improved a lot, and I can feel it, which is motivating. I also played a game of pickleball with friends this week. So, in general, it was a good week.
- I was booking tickets to Australia. I tried on ClearTrip. I was booking with my first credit card (Visa), but the transaction was declined for an unknown reason, and the card was blocked. I called the call center, and they unblocked it, but I couldn’t use it for the next 24 hours. Then I tried the next credit card (Amex), everything went through, but ClearTrip couldn’t confirm. And it would take 3 days to return the money. But thankfully, I have enough limit, so I went to Quantas.com. The payment page doesn’t accept Amex, so I had to bring out my third credit card (Visa), enter it, and wait. Everything went through, and we have tickets for Australia. If everything goes well, we will be there from March 30th to April 9th. But the moral of the story is, have lots of patience and many credit cards.
- It’s been a hectic work week. I am focused and getting a lot of work done, but then the heap is still growing. I think it will be like this for another month or so. March should be calmer and back to regular life. I have not painted in a while, maybe it’s going to be today?
- Cooked mudde again for Sunday lunch; this time, I referred to the video a few times, but didn’t follow it. Not bad. The next three things to learn are upsaaru, massoppu, and mutton saaru. I want to practice enough that I become an expert. I will keep you informed.
- Yella Habibi, I watched on Vimeo. It’s a docudrama about FortNine’s pursuit of the world circumnavigation record. It’s fun to watch. I bought this on Vimeo OTT, which initially wouldn’t let me pay, but after I delinked “Link by Stripe,” it processed the payment and let me watch. Maybe that was the trigger for the card block, I have no idea.
- I watched Happy Patel, it’s an okay watch. I want to watch Landlord, maybe this week.
- Manju visited me at APU today for dinner. We also wanted to test the BluArmor helmet communication. The private communication was broken during their last app update. There is a new update, and we wanted to test it.
- Where am I is a simple app that lets me share my current location (if I mark it public). The idea is to use it during future travels. I will write more about it; I am currently testing it.
- If you are a developer, you might want to read Kailash’s take on code and LLMs. There are a bunch weekly noters in ShellSharks link dump. It’s time to update my blogring. Here is a pocket edition of Constitution of India, that you can buy, read and carry around. It’s jacket is madeup of beautiful khadi.
