Weekly Notes 46/2023
These two pictures of Echo and Pathu by a friend in their natural habitat :) Both of them look so lovely, so I’m posting them here.

We spent an extended weekend at Bekkina Kaadu (Linger) near Magadi. We did nothing other than sleep, eat, and watch. On Sunday, we had to rush back as Echo wasn’t feeling well. Bekkina Kaadu is very close to the city and yet very far. It can be an ideal place to do focused work as you get Airtel 4G and nothing to distract you (other than ofcourse internet).
We have spent ten years together as a married couple. It’s been amazing. We went out for dinner at Edo, a Japanese restaurant. I loved the starters, but the main course was meh. We are yet to restart our monthly date nights properly; maybe this is that restart. We are staying at Linger this weekend....
We are back in Bangalore. This was a short visit to Thrissur, but I might be there again in December. Now that I spend at least a month every quarter in Thrissur, I need to work on activities and people to do with. Given how many open data and software enthusiasts live and work in Kerala, it shouldn’t be that difficult.
On most long drives, the car has to accommodate two pets, one baby seat, and two adults. The last row and boot of the car goes to Echo and Pathu. One side seat in the middle row goes to the baby seat. Two adults are primarily in the front row. That leaves no space for luggage.
We are in Thrissur today. We are here for 3 to 4 weeks as we do almost every quarter. This time, it’s special as it’s the baby’s first long drive. I thought it would be challenging, but it was much easier than I thought. We took additional baby breaks; otherwise, all five of us reached Thrissur comfortably. The car now looks like an overlander. It’s now ready to take us anywhere for a longer period of time; It needs a blog of its own.
