Weekly Notes 46/2023
These two pictures of Echo and Pathu by a friend in their natural habitat :) Both of them look so lovely, so I’m posting them here.

We spent an extended weekend at Bekkina Kaadu (Linger) near Magadi. We did nothing other than sleep, eat, and watch. On Sunday, we had to rush back as Echo wasn’t feeling well. Bekkina Kaadu is very close to the city and yet very far. It can be an ideal place to do focused work as you get Airtel 4G and nothing to distract you (other than ofcourse internet).
I wanted to convert the script from the blog post Who is mapping Surveillance in Bengaluru into a simple web app. I could have written a simple javascript and HTML code to call the overpass-turbo API for data and charted using javascript. All in the browser. But there was a much better option with less code.
We have spent ten years together as a married couple. It’s been amazing. We went out for dinner at Edo, a Japanese restaurant. I loved the starters, but the main course was meh. We are yet to restart our monthly date nights properly; maybe this is that restart. We are staying at Linger this weekend....
I heard NRN’s message on the need for 70+ hours of work week. Unfortunately, this is not the first time NRN has said something like this. He has said many times; I have heard similar comments from him a decade back, too. There are issues with it, in my opinion.
