It was mostly kids and me at home this week. Managing full-time work, kids, and housework by myself was tough. Four kids (okay, one human toddler, a parent, and two pets) are a handful, even when you have regular support. But thanks to a friend and sibling who live close by, I could...
I am quite politically engaged and follow it with genuine interest. So I need to understand where I stand using a consistent set of parameters. Sometime in 2009, I came across The Political Compass, which felt like a good fit for this purpose. Since then, I’ve been taking the survey from time to...

NMG/2025 results are out. It took me a while to go through the applications this time. But finally I sat down and closed. There are some emails and follow-ups left; otherwise, it’s done. There were 100+ high-quality applications this year, making going through and selecting hard and time-consuming. I am happy about them. Thanks to friends for pitching. Gangadhar(25K), Shweta/Ashwini(50K), Divya(50K), Nemo(50K), Kamala Manoharan (100K), Y(30K), S(10K), and T(10K) pitching in to make the total amount 4.25L. This is also the first year a former grantee has become a grantor (Not in their name), making it truly special.
