Weekly Notes 40/2024

I reached Valparai yesterday with Manju. This ride is probably going to be the last ride for the year. Not bad for the year I restarted, isn't it? I will write about the ride in detail once I reach Bangalore. For now, I can only say Valparai is as beautiful as it was 15 years back, though a bit more commercial than then. It's still very pretty and still a lovely ride.

  • 🚙 We are in Bangalore. The drive was okay. We took about 9.5 hours, including all the breaks. Uma, Echo, and Pathu slept most of the time. We took an extended break to walk Echo and Pathu and change Uma. Then we took another long break to eat, drink and refresh. We were at home for lunch. I have come to like driving IBV a lot. It's very comfortable at my speed (~80kmph), even for extended hours. It's spacious for all of us, especially now with the luggage on top. The mileage isn't that bad when I maintain the speed. We have crossed 10,000 kms.
  • 🏍 Yamaha was still hypothecated to Infosys, who had given me a loan to buy the bike. I had forgotten to get it removed from my RC book. I have requested Infosys to provide me with a NoC through their Alumni portal. 🤞 I should get it soon and start with the actual legal work.
  • 🎥 I watched Kishkindha Kaandam. I liked it as well. It's done well and keeps you engaged till the last minute.
  • 🌐 Last week's post title was wrong. I corrected it after a reader pointed it out. Since the cool URLs don't change. The URL still has 40 in it.
