Weekly Notes 29/2025

This week has been hectic but excellent. Many good and interesting things are happening at work in parallel, which keep me busy during the workday. Since Uma started school, we’ve also adjusted our daily schedule. We’re busy from 6:30 in the morning to 8:00 in the evening. That has reduced my time for watching and reading things online. We’re also having dinner early with Uma, around 6:30 pm, which is a good thing. I’m trying to go to bed early and wake up early as well. I’ve never been a morning person. I’m more of a late-night and very late-night person—so this isn’t easy for me.

  • I have written three years’ worth of Weekly Notes here. I have not missed any week, which is good. I have always posted on Friday, except for a couple of weeks when I posted on Saturday. Not bad.
  • I built a simple WHO data-based baby height/weight tracker because I was tired of looking at graphs or sheets.
  • There won’t be any emergencies in the future because all those laws to curtail civil liberties (emergency power) are in effect today; we are in a period with much worse fundamental rights, if not the same.
  • I want to visit all the Chola temples in and around Bangalore. I plan to see them early on Saturdays or Sundays. That way, I can photograph them easily and return home just after breakfast on the way. If you are game, let me know. I will message you my plan. The first one would be either Halasur Someshwara or Huskur Madduramma.
  • As part of Uma’s schooling, I am also learning and discovering things.
  • I continue to do Physiotherapy (it has also been upgraded to include some workout elements) twice a week. My previous Physiotherapist (Omkar) moved back to his hometown to start his own practice. I wasn’t happy because I liked him and his process. It isn’t easy to get a Physiotherapist you like and trust. But the good news is that it’s been two weeks, and I like my new Physiotherapist/Coach as well
  • I met bunch of college friends today.  It was fun.

Thanks for sharing the WHO height/weight tracker, very useful. I was using an app till last year.

Also interestingly Sunanda started preschool last month too!
