Kammasandra Kere/Lake. Summer of 2024. Fully dried up lake. 0

Weekly Notes 17/2024

Today was election day here in Bengaluru. I voted against Fascism. After voting, Appa and I went to see Kammsandra Kere (lake). It was redone and inaugurated last year. The lake work seemed okay, but there was not even a single drop of water. I wonder if baragala (drought) has been declared in Bengaluru. I think we are in a drought.

Summer is here. It's been very, very hot outside. Usually, I like to walk to neighborhood shops, parks, etc. It's been almost impossible, except for some streets that are blessed with trees. 1

Weekly Notes 12/2024

It’s union election time in India. The results are going to be in June. Given we have a fascist right-wing party in power now, the next two and half months will be unbearable. Social media will be at its worst; WhatsApp has been and will be the source of all kinds of fake news....

Weekly Notes 08/2024

Uma, Pathu, Anju, and I have started going on proper evening walks. We walk around 30 minutes in the neighborhood. Echo gets a special longer walk. For now, it’s difficult for Anju and I to take all three of them for a walk simultaneously, hence this arrangement. Also, Echo can stay alone at...

Weekly Notes 03/2024

We are back in Bangalore. This drive took a bit longer. We took two 45-minute breaks each for baby and pet-related work. Otherwise, it was a comfortable drive. We left at 3:20 AM and reached by about 1:30 PM. It makes a lot of difference if you start early. It’s primarily long-distance truck traffic early in the morning, and they are much more professional Than others on the road. So it’s much easier to drive alongside them.

The Year that was 2023

The year 2023 was life-changing in a good way. We have Uma in our life, and though we were expecting it to happen, it was much more sudden and was a pleasant surprise. As of now, the year 2024 seems like a continuation of 2023. But before we enter 2024, here are the highlights of 2023.
