ಅಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ತುಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಮೇಲೆ. ಹಾಗಂತ ಆಕೆಯೇನು ನಾಸ್ತಿಕಳಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಕೆಯ ದೇವರ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಚನಕಾರರನ್ನು ಹೋಲುತಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಕಾಕತಾಳಿಯವೇನಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲಸ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ, ದುಡಿಮೆ, ಸಮಾನತೆ ಹಾಗು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ. ಅಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲವು ಹಬ್ಬ, ಹರಿದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸುತಿದ್ದರು (ಸಂಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗು ಯುಗಾದಿ ಆಕೆಯ ನೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು), ಆಕೆಯ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮೂಢನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಕೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನವೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ...
