Weekly Notes 38/2022
We are back in Bangalore. The air feels different, for sure. Bangalore has excellent weather but the air? I don’t know anymore.
A container for all my views with excerpts from technology, travel, films, books, kannada, friends and other interests. I am Thejesh GN, friends call me Thej.
If you have been reading this blog you would know that I have blogring now. It’s stored as JSON documents in CouchDB and then used in widgets in the sidebar. It also happens that I read the same blogs in a feed reader. So I wanted a way to import these into my blog reader easily. CouchDB is my source of truth; hence I wanted a way to export JSON documents into OPML format that can be imported into any reader.
We celebrate September 5th as teachers’ day in India. It used to be significant when Amma was alive and working. She used to get a lot of gifts from her students, flowers (especially roses), Cadburys five star, peacock feathers, Coffee Byte toffee, etc. She used to say government primary school kids are the best. Personally, teaching has been a fantastic experience for me. It has made me more empathetic.
Anju has been arranging flowers for the last ten days. They are gorgeous. It took lots of time and effort to collect the flowers every morning and arrange them as Pookalam. Today is Onam and the last day. Here is the virtual gallery of all of them.
