Weekly Notes 41/2022
It’s my birthday week. If you have been reading this blog, you know I turned 42, and I don’t see much difference. But it was a better year than the last two.

I am 42 today. It doesn’t feel very different, nor do I know the answer to everything. All I know is I feel better than in 2020 and 2022, which were personally the worst years due to COVID-19. Thank you for all your wishes.
This week we celebrate the birthdays of Gandhi and Shastri. Two honest men Indian politics has ever seen. What I appreciated most in Gandhi was his sense of self-criticism and his ability to speak/write about his weakness in public. I don’t think normals can do it then or even today. In Shastri, his simplicity and ability to remain sane while in power and give up the power when required amazes me. It just seems too farfetched in today’s society.
Sometimes I am surprised that I am the first generation graduate in my family. And so much change has happened in one generation. Imagine the folks who have had the generational advantage.
I have had a couple of air quality sensors. But none of them have a variety of sensors, AQI calculation, and local open data access. Finally, I found IQAir AirVisualPro, which suits my requirement like a glove.
I love simple smartwatches that are hackable. I got my first and second Pebble as part of their Kickstarter campaign. I was a pleased user until then shut shop. I continued my search for a smartwatch. I had two options in front of me Bangel.js 2 and PineTime. I got both of them. But my PineTime is a developer, early version. Hence Bangle.js became the official replacement for Pebble
