2023 is going to be our sixth edition of NMG. Yes, we have already completed five years, and some of the grantees have done some fantastic work. I have taken up the task of collating stories of those outstanding grantees and their work. Maybe we all get to read it sometime this year, but I digress. The 2023 grant application is open. It took a while for us to decide the grantees from the top ten. We also ended up dividing some of it too. But anyway, we have the list of grantees now. Congratulations, and sorry for being late. We have the top ten decided, so we have to do a final round to pick the top two or three. It is possible to do it this month. So the date for the announcement of grantees is July 31st. I am as excited as you are.
Nagarathna Memorial Grant is a no-strings-attached grant of one lakh rupees (~$1400). It’s a micro-grant targeted at everyone. 2022 grant application is open.
I am sorry for being late. 2021 has not been an easy year, personally. With so many things going around me, I couldn’t give mind-space or time to work on it. Since this is close to my heart, I couldn’t decide without spending time on it. That said, we have the results now.
My family has recovered. They are doing well now. But It took a lot of time, mind-space, and energy. My productivity went down drastically. Also, my close friends are positive now. It takes quite a bit of energy to focus on when something of this sort is going around, which I have not been able to do.
