Nagarathna Memorial Grant – 2024 Open for Applications

This year, 2024, will be the seventh year of the grant. I am pleased that I was able to sustain it. I am grateful to friends (Nemo, Gangadhar, Shweta) and other anonymous folks who have joined me on this journey with additional grant support. I am also thankful to all the applicants and grantees who have been part of this journey in one way or another. It’s one of those things I do every year that makes me very happy.

The Year that was 2023

The year 2023 was life-changing in a good way. We have Uma in our life, and though we were expecting it to happen, it was much more sudden and was a pleasant surprise. As of now, the year 2024 seems like a continuation of 2023. But before we enter 2024, here are the highlights of 2023.

The setting should include several work tables with computers, all unoccupied except for hers. The room should be illuminated only by the light of her computer screen and any other small sources of light, creating a sense of isolation and dedication. 1

70-Hour Work Week

I heard NRN’s message on the need for 70+ hours of work week. Unfortunately, this is not the first time NRN has said something like this. He has said many times; I have heard similar comments from him a decade back, too. There are issues with it, in my opinion.

Can you explain “War Crime” like I am 5

I asked ChatGPT this question. So I can explain a kid. Since the adult world is so confused(??) and debating, I thought the focus should be on children.
