Uma imitates my newspaper reading style. 2

Weekly Notes 21/2024

I have had a busy week at work. Lots of non-technical work got done this week. Running an organization means lots of meta work. I took Tuesday off. I wasn’t feeling great. I was exhausted for some reason. Over time, I have realized that when I am tired, it’s better to take the days off than to push through things. I do much better the next day.

Weekly Notes 20/2024

Uma’s sleeping cycle has changed a bit. She now sleeps from 7 PM to 6:30 AM, with a short nap in the morning and a longer nap after lunch. Her diet includes most of what we eat, but less spicy. She doesn’t like eggs as of now :(, which are important in our diet, so we keep trying different ways to introduce them.

Echo and Uma 3

Echo, Pathu and Uma

We introduced Uma to Pathu and Echo on day one, and she has grown up with them since then. Echo and Pathu have been friendly to people and toddlers even before Uma. So it wasn’t difficult to introduce Uma to them, even though she was the youngest baby they had met. It’s also the first time they are living with a human baby. Their relationship is that of siblings.

Informal DataMeet-up at Starbucks on Church Street/Bengaluru this Friday! Rukmini is talking about her project. 0

Weekly Notes 19/2024

The weekend was good. It was slow; I mostly spent time at Home. Since it was also the beginning of the month, I spent time paying bills. Echo wasn’t feeling well this week. He is a baby when he is sick. Thankfully, he is recovering. Hopefully, he will be alright by next week.

Exploring STAC Datasets with Browser

I recently contributed some imagery to the panoramax project. It’s like Street View but is open and free. Then I saw that the panoramax exposes STAC APIs. I wanted to know more about STAC, which led me down a rabbit hole.

View from my window. I couldn't take a good picture. But I was so happy to see rain. 3

Weekly Notes 18/2024

We have AC now. I don’t know how big of an event that is for anyone. For me, it’s huge. I never thought I would get one. But here we are. The summer of 2024 has changed everything.  Strangely enough, it rained today and yesterday, bringing down the temperature a bit. Hopefully, it will continue to rain more, so we won’t have to use AC.
