What a crazy year this has been. I don’t know how to keep track of time. I am 41 today, and it seems like a year passed in second. Anyway, I am blessed that my life and life of people around me have been okay. We survived.

Open Data : India Oxygen Shortage Deaths

We (Volunteers from DataMeet and Road Scholarz) are recording‌ ‌deaths‌ ‌due‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌lack‌ ‌of Oxygen, shortage of Oxygen, or denial of ‌Oxygen‌ ‌in‌ ‌hospitals‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌second‌ ‌wave‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Covid-19‌ ‌pandemic‌ ‌in‌ ‌India‌. The‌ ‌deaths‌ ‌recorded‌ ‌are‌ ‌based‌ ‌on‌ ‌reports‌ ‌from‌ ‌newspapers‌ ‌and‌ ‌news‌ ‌media‌ ‌in‌ ‌English‌ ‌and‌ ‌regional‌ ‌languages, social media, and‌ ‌networks‌ ‌of‌ ‌volunteers‌ ‌working‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌ground.‌ ‌We have been tracking‌ ‌these sources‌, verifying‌ ‌details,‌ ‌checking‌ ‌for‌ ‌duplication,‌ and extracting the necessary information from these reports.

Updates 2 : NMG/2021 – Delayed again

My family has recovered. They are doing well now. But It took a lot of time, mind-space, and energy. My productivity went down drastically. Also, my close friends are positive now. It takes quite a bit of energy to focus on when something of this sort is going around, which I have not been able to do.
