Weekly Notes 50/2023

We met a bunch of friends this week. We spent unreasonable amount of time with them, talking, eating, and making coffee. I am so happy to have such beautiful and caring friends. When I turn 70 and look back, I will be very proud of the friends that I have earned, especially the ones I made after turning 30.

Entry into Parenthood

For me, having kids has been a dream for a long time. It was only in my late twenties and early thirties that I thought about adoption and chose it to be the primary option. I was super lucky to meet someone with similar thoughts and dreams. It just became super easy once we got married.

Weekly Notes 45/2023

We spent an extended weekend at Bekkina Kaadu (Linger) near Magadi. We did nothing other than sleep, eat, and watch. On Sunday, we had to rush back as Echo wasn’t feeling well. Bekkina Kaadu is very close to the city and yet very far. It can be an ideal place to do focused work as you get Airtel 4G and nothing to distract you (other than ofcourse internet).

Weekly Notes 41/2023

I turned 43 this week, in fact, yesterday. We went to Vadanapally Beach in the evening and then went Roastown for dinner. We enjoyed our time at the beach. We plan to go there often.

43

I turned 43 today; this year significantly changed my life. I am a parent now. It’s not that my worldview suddenly changed since I became a father. Nothing like that has happened. What has happened is I love my new role and enjoy doing the things that come with this role. Hence my life has changed, that’s all.

Weekly Notes 40/2023

We are in Thrissur today. We are here for 3 to 4 weeks as we do almost every quarter. This time, it’s special as it’s the baby’s first long drive. I thought it would be challenging, but it was much easier than I thought. We took additional baby breaks; otherwise, all five of us reached Thrissur comfortably. The car now looks like an overlander. It’s now ready to take us anywhere for a longer period of time; It needs a blog of its own.
